‘Ground’ as the passive participle of grind and simultaneously as the noun. Ground as in ground coffee powder – the main component to make this structure. Ground as being shattered by more powerful force: e.g. in the process of making coffee, in agricultural routine when the tractor ploughs the soil. It is that the land is being ground by the irreversible movement of industrialization where jungle trees are devoured by saw machines. Ground – as a noun – is the surface of the earth, the land, the foundation, the territory of any existence.
